Summary
Wehrung’s is seeking Yard Managers for both our Ottsville and Macungie PA locations. The Yard Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the lumber yard operations which include the warehouse, receiving and shipping departments at the assigned location. In this position you will interact daily with all employees (in the store and outside yard) as well as customers and vendors. The Yard Manager ensures that each department operates in a safe and efficient manner reducing damage, following strict adherence to the cycle count schedule to ensure inventory levels are regularly verified, utilizing proper inventory controls measures, reducing unnecessary waste of company resources, and last but not least holding the team to the high standard of Great Customer Service.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Receiving and Shipping departments with all activities as it relates to the facility as a whole

- Reconcile accounts payable to vendor statements.

M&W Precast Supply-A Division of Wehrung’s Family of Businesses is a precast concrete producer, producing underground storm water and sanitary sewer infrastructure products in addition to precast structures. We are looking to grow our team of exceptional CDL B Drivers to better serve our customers. Location Looking to Hire:

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:
- Deliver precast concrete materials
- Load/unload materials in a safe, efficient, and positive manner
- Delivery vehicles may include tri-axle flatbed with crane
Basic Requirements:
- Eligible to work in the U.S
- Reliable transportation to get you back and forth to work
- Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends on occasion
- Drivers must be at least 21 years old
- Forklift certified or willingness to be certified
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Exposure to fluctuating weather conditions including extreme cold or heat
- Bending or stooping
- Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently 100 pounds or more
Driving Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license
· Clean driving record required
· Valid DOT medical card (preferred) or be able to pass a DOT medical evaluation
· Must be insurable as a driver by our insurance carrier’s standards
Qualifications:
- Knuckleboom crane experience preferred but will train.
- Mature, dependable and self-motivated
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks at any time with little supervision
- Open to cross-training

Project Manager – Site & Highway (M&W)

We are seeking a skilled Site & Highway Project Manager to join our team at M&W Precast Supply. As an active member of the M&W team, a Project Manager-Site & Highway has solid knowledge of all M&W site & highway and septic products. This position will be the point of contact for M&W on all assigned projects between sales, production, and customers from estimating/sales turnover to submittal, production, and delivery to allow M&W to reach or exceed goals and strategic plans.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate the Company’s products and services to customers to provide general fabrication and production information.
- Attentively listen to and communicate with Customers, meeting project needs while staying in project scope.
- In coordination with Preconstruction Manager, review sales contract, project specifications and drawings for application. When required, contact vendors and/or subcontractors for product information.
- Develop a timely submittal package to provide the Customer with product cut sheets and drawings detailing items to be provided by the Company to fulfill the requirements of the project.
- Work closely with drafting department to develop accurate submittal and production drawings, ensuring all drawings are double checked for accuracy.
- When required, arrange for project site visit with Customer and M&W representative(s).
- Coordinating with Production, Transportation Manager, and Quality Control, arrange delivery of product with customer. Review sales order for completeness and ensure information is accurate prior to delivery.
- Provide weekly updates regarding the status of projects, production schedule, subcontractors schedules, and delivery dates for projects.
- Communicate to Preconstruction Manager and upper management on any customer complaints regarding quality, service, production, price, etc. and an action plan for remediation.
- Be aware and follow the Company’s safety regulations and actively contribute toward a safe workplace.
- Follow all jobsite safety requirements and relay all necessary information to management.
- Complete or assist with other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Mechanic – Fleet Plant (M&W)

Role Description:
The Fleet/Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical duties using a variety of tools and skills. They will perform machine repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance. The Fleet/Plant Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for keeping the fleet of tractors and trailers at M&W in proper working order.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for inspecting and performing preventative and emergency work on M&W’s and Wehrung’s fleet of equipment.
- Promote and maintain a clean and organized garage that is orderly, safe, and easily accessible to staff, supplies, customers, and visitors.
- Through collaboration with transportation and service managers, maintain accurate records of all services performed and keep critical part supplies in stock.
- Utilize safety equipment and abide by safety practices that are required by law and/or the company.
- Report all safety related issues to supervisor immediately.
- To ensure efficient operations, complete and submit in a timely manner, all necessary department and personnel forms appropriate for given situations.
- Attend and participate in assigned company sponsored meetings and/or training sessions.
- Observe all company policies and regulations.
- Act as the point of contact for all vendors that are used for equipment maintenance services.
- Complete or assist with various other duties as assigned.
- Troubleshooting & repairing equipment used in the precast concrete industry including but not limited to Batch Plant, MiJack, travel lift crane, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
- Assisting in the installation and removal of production equipment
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the U.S
- Working knowledge of welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics
- Mature, dependable, and self-motivated
- Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills
- Forklift certified or willingness to become certified
- Reliable transportation to get you back and forth to work
- Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week
- Ability to proficiently use hand tools, including but not limited to grinder, torches, impact wrenches, drills, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time
- Exposure to fluctuating weather conditions including extreme cold or heat
- Must be in good physical health; ability to lift 75 pounds
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in heavy equipment & vehicle repair, preferred
