NonCDL Driver/Yard Associate

Role Description:

Truck drivers are theface of our company while out at jobsites delivering the material listed on thebill of lading. The Non-CDL driver will be operating automatic transmission andare educated in safely maneuvering the vehicle and its cargo while also beingmindful of its size. A driver in this position will utilize the GPS systemssupplied by the company to take the best suited route to and from our retailfacilities and distribution centers to the end users, our customers.

GeneralResponsibilities and Duties:

• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. This includes, but is     not limited to, proof of delivery pictures, customer signatures, wearing     of seatbelts, and no handheld cellphone use while driving
• Assemble and deliver lumber & building materials to customers
• Responsibility for safe operation of various non-cdl delivery trucks
• Ensure proper care of product, equipment and customer property while loading/unloading via     forklift in the yard or at jobsites as well as bulk material via the     loader
• Unload vendor deliveries and confirm product arrived based on sales acknowledgement
• Reporting of vehicle maintenance issues and or safety issues to supervision
• Inspection of trucks for defects (pre-trip inspections) before your first day’s delivery     and submission of reports to dispatch noting the truck’s condition
• Regular cleaning of company vehicles both inside and out
• Assisting with pulling of next day delivery hardware and staging on designated warehouse     driver shelf.
• Other duties as assigned by management

RequiredSkills/Abilities:

• Eligible to work in the U.S
• Reliable transportation to get you back and forth to work
• Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and occasional weekend
• Valid driver’s license
• Cleandriving record
• Valid DOT medical card
• Must be insurable as a driver according to our insurance carrier’s standards

• Forklift certified or willingness to be certified
• Mature and self-motivated
• Able to multi-task
• Open to cross-training

Driving Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving recordrequired
• Valid DOT medical card(preferred) or be able to pass a DOT medical evaluation
• Must be insurable as adriver by our insurance carrier’s standards

Educationand Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

PhysicalRequirements:

• Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
• Exposure to extreme temperatures
• Bending or stooping
• Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently 100 pounds or more
